The Quarter, Sefton Street
Liverpool City Centre is set to get a dramatic new southern gateway with the £100million Sefton Street Quarter project currently under construction by Vermont Developments in partnership with Etherl Austin Properties.
The former under-used and low quality 2 acre industrial site which previously occupied the site has been cleared, and is being replaced by a prestigious mixed-use development including a luxury hotel and landmark 22 storey apartment tower, family homes, commercial, leisure retail space and a new public piazza. There will also be underground car parking available.
The 173 bedroom 4 star hotel is to operated by internationally renowned hotel chain Ramada Plaza. The hotel will be aimed corporate and high end leisure customers, and will feature a find dinging restaurant, spa and business centre with conference facilities. More than 150 full-time jobs will be created by the scheduled opening in June 2010.
187 apartments will be completed in Phase 1, with a further 112 being made available in Phase 2 which will form the 22 storey glazed tower.
