The Office Quarter, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke
Estuary Commerce Park remains one of South Liverpool's flagship projects - a 40 hectare (100 acre), fully-serviced, park-style business environment on the site of Speke Aerodrome's former Northern Airfield.
Working with preferred developer Intercity (now UK Land and Property), the aim since 1998 has been to make Estuary a world-class business park capable of attracting national and international interest from relocating companies. This translated into excellent infrastructure, striking water features, superb landscaping (including ornamental grassed areas), broad dual-lane entry boulevards and separate pedestrian ways, cycle paths and individual landscaped parking areas.
Covering 9 hectares, the "Office Quarter" is the latest phase of the development. Costing £20million, its first phase comprising 37,500 sq ft has been completed, with the first building let to Keepmoat PLC.
The remaining phases totalling 86,750 sq ft will be built speculatively.
