Covent Garden & East Moorfields/CCMS Project
This £5m package of works has created a high quality public realm in the business district and an area with an increasing resident population.
At Convent Garden a high quality environment has been developed in the historic business district to encourage investment. It provides a balanced public realm for pedestrian movement, parking and servicing requirements.
In East Moorfields there is a high level of mixed-used investment and a series of high quality streets and a new public square for the area's growing residential, visitor and business population has been created.
This scheme was one of the first elements of the City Centre Movement Strategy to be completed in August 2004.
