12 Temple Square
Temple Square is a unique office development in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.
The square forms a natural link between the retail and leisure areas of Church Street / Williamson Square and the Cavern Quarter.
Phase 1 of the Temple Square development was the refurbishment of 36 Dale Street and the adjacent former Tea Warehouse, now known as Colonial Chambers, together providing 74,000sq ft of refurbished office space.
The second phase was the demolition of two former office buildings to create a unique breathing space in the heart of the city's office core. Temple Square also discreetly disguises an underground car park, providing 52 car parking spaces.
The third phase of Temple Square was the construction of a new contemporary designed office tower linked to the neo-classical, historic Temple Building, to provide 1,951 sq m (21,000 sq ft) of quality offices. This is the headquarters for solicitors, Canter Levin & Berg.
Two Victorian Warehouses underwent a complete restyling to provide 53 luxury apartments. On the adjoining vacant site is a new fully glazed office building providing restaurant/leisure use on the ground and mezzanine floors, and two upper floors of new, quality office accommodation designed to compliment No. 1 Temple Square.
The redevelopment of a further unit provides new Grade 'A' office premises over seven floors, with the provision of 20 car parking spaces at basement level.
The developers were Villagate Properties.
