Alma da Cuba (former St Peter's Church), Seel Street

The former St Peter's Church, Seel Street, has been converted to the Alma da Cuba restaurantThe oldest church building in Liverpool has been converted into a high quality restaurant. now run by Alma da Cuba

St Peter's Church, Seel Street, originall built in 1788 by Benedictine monks as Liverpool's second post-reformation Catholic Mission, was converted by Urban Splash.  The £2.1million scheme provides a spectacular self-contained space with accommodation over the ground, first and mezzanine floors, 

It involved the replacement of the roof, structural pairs and the reinstatement of the existing stone icons.  New and improved landscaping has been introduced to the surrounding areas.

The project was completed in Autumn 2005.
