Paradise Project - New Fire Station
A new fire station has been built in St Anne Street to replace the one at Canning Place which was demolished as part of the Paradise Project.
It has entrances for vehicles from Harker Street and St. Anne Street.
The work involved partial demolition of 24 St. Anne Street and 1 Springfield, the removal of the northern party wall of 24 St. Anne Street, and the rear walls of 24 St. Anne Street and 1 Springfield.
An extension was built at 24 St. Anne Street, and 1 Springfield Number 9-11 Springfield converted to an ancillary training centre.
Construction work was completed in the summer of 2006.
