The Eleanor Rigby Hotel whilst under construction in early 2007The family business behind Beatles bar Lennon's opened a new hotel named after one of the Fab Four's best-loved songs.

The 18-bedroomed Eleanor Rigby Hotel opened in December 2007 at 34 Stanley Street, just yards from the famous statue of the lonely lady of the song's title.

The red-bricked building was originally constructed as a shipping warehouse.

Stanley Street itself was repaved in the summer of 2007.
