Edge Lane Central - Part 1
Edge Lane - one of the main gateway routes into the city centre - is undergoing a £65m improvevement scheme. Three quarters of the scheme are now completed.
Edge Lane Central (Part 1) was completed in Autumn 2007. The works were undertaken between the junction with Botanic Road and the Marconi Complex.
The scheme included new kerbs, paving, street lighting, improved pedestrian crossing facilities, resurfacing of the existing highway, new feature lighting and tree planting. It also included a new junction/entrance to Liverpool Digital, the proposed science and innovation park on the site of the former MTL bus depot.
