Concert Steps Phase II

This major development to convent a warehouse into a bar and club by Frenson Limited on behalf of Bakersfield Leisure is an indication of the high quality of the scheme in Fleet Street.

It involves the demolition of an existing building and refurbishment of an existing derelict warehouse including a new build four storey extension.  The development will add further vitality to the lively Ropewalks part of the city.

The revival of this building increases the safety of the area and will provide a more pleasant environment for local residents and revelers alike.

The intention is also for a new extension to demonstrate creative design and a good way of attracting people into the area.  Regeneration of the warehouse aims to attract more people into an already popular area and with them an increase in spending which promotes a stronger local economy.  With this increase in spending, there will be a positive effect on local business confidence and hopefully continued investment in the area.

It is estimated that approximately 50 new jobs will created by this investment and development

It is believed that there will be minimum disruption caused to road and pedestrian traffic and what negative impacts the project may have will be more than offset by the contribution of the development to the local economy and environment in the long run.
