City Lofts

City Lofts apartments at Princes DockCity Lofts is a £19.7m development at Princes Dock which has seen the creation of two towers containing 162 apartments.

The north tower has 20 floors of residential accommodation; the shorter South tower has 10 floors of residential accommodation.  Up to the 6th floor, there is a central block of apartments, which are accessed from the North or South towers.

The project also includes car parking facilities and hard and soft landscaping.  The existing boundary wall along Bath Street is a listed structure.

The development is situated on land formally occupied by dock warehouses. It has been reclaimed by Princes Dock Company who have been redeveloping the area around the Princes Dock with a mixture of hotels, office developments, multi storey car park and now apartments.

The whole development is revitalising an area close to the city centre which has lain derelict for many years.

The old dock has been cleaned out and partially backfilled to add to the environmental outlook of the area with swans geese and sea birds regular visitors.

The site was a Considerate Constructors site, and as such made efforts to protect and enhance the local community, minimising unwelcome effects.  The contractors were Carillion, and the majority of site personnel were from Merseyside.
