Liverpool University's Sydney Jones Library at Chatham Street has been reopened following a two year £17million refurbishment scheme which included the erection of a 3-storey building linking the University's former headquarters at Senate House to the library. 
The long awaited £20million eastern road gateway into the city centre has been given the green light by the Government. Public consultation is to start on a key document which sets out the framework for new developments and the conservation of Liverpool's World Heritage Site.
